Scott Rogers | Foamcore Records

When I first met Scott Rogers, seven or eight years ago, he was working on an elaborate project called Foamcore Records, a fictional indie record company complete with a promotional website, concert shirts, band logos, album covers and buttons. He gave me a hand-drawn poster announcing that the band This is a Plane That Crashes (which I always think of when I hear the Modest Mouse song Shit Luck) is playing live at the Chainsaw. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. The Awkward Teen Sex is the opening act.

Boner and Nazi Sinatra are my two favorite fictional band names from the series.
